When Heath Ledger passed away, some groups wanted Warner Bros to remove a scene from "The Dark Knight" that shows the actor hiding in a body bag. Director Christopher Nolan kept the scene, leaving lots of people offended.
Now that Brittany Murphy has passed away, stores are scrambling to avoid anything that could be misinterpreted, like displaying the DVD for her "Deadline" horror film, which features the actress lying lifeless in a bath on the cover.
First Look Studios' film starring the late Brittany Murphy is in the middle of a scuffle with morality at the moment. The unfortunately now-offensive cover art to Deadline is being pulled across the 'net and in the physical form, as well.
TMZ is reporting that the independent studio will be changing the ironic artwork for the Brittany Murphy film, following her death on December 20th. The box art included Brittany Murphy lying in a bathtub, apparently dead – the actress passed away in her shower of cardiac arrest.
Redbox has already pulled the artwork from their rental kiosks. The film itself was released on December 1st, several weeks before the actresses' death. The old and new versions of the art are displayed above.

Body dysmorphia sufferer Lily Allen has taken her top off for Harpers Bazaar Russia, accessorizing with devil horns and a cigarette.
This is not the first time Lily has bared her nipples on the pages of a magazine. She says she views her naked self as "a funny looking thing," but her boyfriend thinks that's a good thing.

Roman Polanski wrote a letter to his *supporters and friends* expressing his gratitude during this difficult time. Bernard-Henri Lévy was so kind to share it with the rest of us.
 My dear Bernard-Henri Lévy, what you have said in the Swiss press is true -- I have been overwhelmed by the number of messages of support and sympathy I have received in Winterthur prison, and that I continue to receive here, in my chalet in Gstaad, where I am spending the holidays with my wife and my children.
These messages have come from my neighbors, from people all over Switzerland, and from beyond Switzerland -- from across the world. I would like every one of them to know how heartening it is, when one is locked up in a cell, to hear this murmur of human voices and of solidarity in the morning mail. In the darkest moments, each of their notes has been a source of comfort and hope, and they continue to be so in my current situation.
I would like to be able to answer all of them. But it is impossible: there are too many. Do you have any suggestions as to how I could reply? Perhaps in your journal, La Règle du jeu, which has supported me from the very first day? Perhaps you could disseminate these few words I'm sending you? I don't know. I'll leave it up to you.

Cheryl Cole has revealed that she hated the Girls Aloud hit Love Machine when first hearing it. The song, which was the second single off of the album What Will the Neighbours Say, reached number two in the charts in 2004. However, the song was not appreciated by X Factor judge and footballer's wife Cole, who has revealed that she thought the song was “crap” when it was first presented to her. The 26-year-old recently told Q: "I remember listening to 'Love Machine' and thinking, 'We cannot put this crap out'. That’s what I said to the label: 'It sounds like something Busted would do!'" The band, created in 2002 off the back of the talent show Popstars: The Rivals, went on to produce a string of 20 consecutive UK Top 10 singles, four of which were number ones. Consisting of singers Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Cheryl Cole, the girls have sold 10 million records worldwide and become a household name, with the recent success of Cheryl Cole aiding their popularity. In 2009, the band announced they were taking a year-long break to pursue solo projects, but plan to reunite for a new studio album in 2010. Cole released her debut album 3 words while working as a judge on this year’s X Factor, with her single Fight For This Love holding the number one spot for two consecutive weeks and taking the title of the fastest-selling single of 2009.

T-Pain and his wife Amber hosted a Christmas Party at their mansion last week in Atlanta and Ozone Magazine’s was there to take in all the fun. The interesting blend of folks that showed up included Midget Mack (”I love New York”), porn star Mr. Marcus, Young Money’s Lil Chuckee and Lil Wayne’s mother Ms Cita. Ne-Yo was also spotted in the building with his new girlfriend, his sister Nikki and his mom Loraine. Ne-Yo’s mom Loraine along with Wayne and T-Pain’s mom are currently shopping around a talk show style TV show similar to The View.

On her Gossip Girl co-stars and double-dating with them: “I’ve heard horror stories form other actors about egos, people who don’t get along, but we’re all friends. There are people from this job who will be in my life for a very, very long time… Sometimes we double-date with Penn [Badgley] and Blake [Lively], or Leighton [Meester] and Sebastian [Stan]. We all hang out.”
On becoming more than just friends with co-star Ed Westwick: “It kind of just happened. We had fun together, and we were like, ‘All right, let’s see where this goes.’ He’s a really rad guy. He’s awesome and smart and talented and adorable, and we make each other laugh.” Source

HUNTINGTON BEACH James Owen Sullivan, a drummer and backup vocalist for the Southern California band Avenged Sevenfold, was found dead at his home on Monday, authorities have confirmed. Sullivan, who went by the stage name The Rev, appears to have died of natural causes, Huntington Beach police Lt. John Domingo said. Police were notified by firefighters who had responded to Sullivan's home about 1 p.m.
Sullivan was 28. The Orange County Coroner's Office is investigating the death. Avenged Sevenfold formed in Huntington Beach in 1999. Sullivan was a member from the beginning. Since then, the five-man group has put out four albums and won Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2006. The group's self-titled fourth album hit No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2007. According to a message posted by Zacky Vengeance on the band's MySpace page, the group was hard a work on a fifth album. By Monday evening, whispers about Sullivan's death had spread to the band's fan sites on the Internet, which quickly filled with messages of condolence.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is collaborating with a media house for a peace campaign to better ties between India and Pakistan.
"Their media and our media will through the medium initiate cross over efforts to hold hands, to exchange views and ideas of how to extend our understanding with each other, to build bridges when all else is falling apart," Big B wrote on his blog.
Bachchan will be seen rendering some lines written by noted lyricist Gulzar in a video as a part of the campaign.
The video depicts a casual atmosphere of a wayside tea stall and thoughts related to our early lives lived in smaller towns.
"The idea of lets get together, unfold a `duree` bring on the `dholak` and sing the songs of community singing. Of flying kites from the roof tops of our homes and inviting each other for a game of `kabaddi`," he added.
The 67-year-old actor hailed the commonness between two countries and advocated a need to build confidence and faith in each other.

Actor Abhishek Bachchan seems to be following in his father’s footsteps.
Junior B will make his debut on the small screen on Viacom 18’s General Entertainment Channel Colors as host on its new show Idea National Bingo Night produced by Fox Television Studios India Private Limited.
Abhishek insists that it wasn’t his father’s association with the channel which forced him to agree to host the show.
“I liked the concept of the show, it excited me creatively. I liked what they were trying to do and liked what they have done. It is great that Colors thought if me. The decision was theirs, it didn’t have anything to do with the fact that pa (Amitabh Bachchan) was part of the channel,” he says.

Sidenote that has nothing to do with the Bachchans, I watched "Salaam Namaste" w/Saif Ali Khan and Priety Zinta for the first time last night, and nearly choked on my chocolate milk when they started kissing. WTF? THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN IN BOLLYWOOD. Was anyone else shocked?

Her movie was a great success this weekend at the box office. But instead of New York or LA, she spent Christmas close to home in London, Ontario. Here are some super cute photos of the super cute Rachel McAdams this weekend hitting up the Taphouse Bar gamely posing for photos with a group of young men in full Olympic torch gear as the flame, on its way to Vancouver for the Games, made its way through town. True to reputation, they said she was as sweet as ever.
